The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Engineering Services Division, In Service Vessel Sustainment branch is seeking qualified sources that can provide an estimated six (6) each Fire and Smoke Alarm systems, Honeywell P/N 0669-WLB-225A, to complete the 225’ Mid-Life Maintenance Availability (MMA) program on the remaining 225’ WLB Coast Guard cutters. This is a follow-on contract therefore it is the Government’s intent to solicit and negotiate only with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Honeywell, and/or their authorized distributors. Substitute part numbers will not be accepted. The Government does not possess the technical and engineering data required to enable award of this follow-on contract on a competitive basis. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM. However, concerns that have the capability to provide these systems may submit their capabilities which the Agency will consider. Information submitted must clearly identify (1) the offeror’s ability to provide the part number identified; and (2) previous contract information where this part number has been provided to the Government and/or commercial customers. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede the award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
